Level 1 is designed for the actor who feels a bit “stuck” in the copy or who is new to the world of long-form improv. We spend so much time as voice actors trying to get the technical side right that we often forget to leave room for the unexpected. This class is your permission slip to stop overthinking and start playing. We’ll focus on the power of spontaneity, helping you make bold, visceral choices that breathe life into your reads. If you’re looking to break out of your comfort zone and find the freedom that comes with trusting your first instinct, this is where we start.

About Tim Powers:
With years of experience in improv and voice acting, Tim Powers brings a fun, welcoming perspective to the workshop. His expertise in character development, acting, and storytelling will help you unlock your full potential as a voice actor.
Tim trained in improvisational theater at the legendary Groundlings school in Los Angeles, as well as the Upright Citizens Brigade in Hollywood.
Tim’s performance credits include national and local ad campaigns, video games including the Final Fantasy franchise, Genshin Impact, and Exo Primal. He has coached hundreds of voice acting students.
Tim also directs and produces voice acting demos, provides demo feedback and evaluations, and directs video games and audio dramas.
